Could a mouth piece that moves the lower jaw forward help me?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I saw an add on tv the other day for a mouth piece designed to help people to stop snoring by holding the lower jaw slightly forward. I don’t snore, but …when I was a kid my orthodontist told me that I needed to have my lower jaw broken and reset because it is too far back or something? Well my family couldn’t afford that so I never had it done. It doesn’t really bother me now, except for that I sometimes have trouble breathing well at night unless I hold my lower jaw forward. But then once I fall asleep my jaw goes back to its normal position and I can’t breath well again. Do you think that anti snoring mouthpiece could help me breath better at night if it will keep my jaw forward all night? And does anyone know what they are called (I live in the US, so please tell me a brand I can get here), because I forgot from the commercial!

How To Stop Snoring?

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

I’ve tried a couple different products and they seem to work ok. My girlfriend says that they just make the snore not as harsh. I’ve tried Breath Right Nose Strips, Premier Value Anti-Snore, and Ayr Saline Nasal Mist. My lady says that the Ayr nasal mist works the best but I would like to know if theres anything on the market that will stop snoring all together or is just really REALLY good and will bring a loud snore to a silent breeze or something? lol

husband snores badly, can’t sleep with him. Any ways to fix this? ?

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

My husband snores badly in sleep: he snores in any positions in sleep, either close mouth or open mouth. We tried almost everything we know, nose expand bandage, anti-snore pillows, checked the specialist and the result is even surgery won’t help. We usually sleep in separate bedrooms because I am a light sleeper.

This is becoming a more serious problem for us, not only for our sexual life, but also for our emotion connections.

Anybody has any good ideas for this situation? Either to fix his problem, or make me sleep deeper? Thanks a lot!

Has anyone had sugery to stop snoring?

Monday, October 20th, 2008

I suffer from snoring pretty bad and my poor wife is loosing sleep. I’ve tried decongestion drugs, nasal rinses, nose clamps to keep the airways open and anti histamines. Does anyone know of anything that really stops snoring?

Has anyone undergone Radiofrequency palatoplasty or Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, have these helped?
I’ve had a test for sleep apnea and I get enough oxygen during the night, which is good. It just doesn’t help my wife. :)

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

I heard he was so mean he once smurfed a guy just for snoring, but he snored so loud that he smurfed the dead.
They also say that he could turn water into smurfberry juice…… or was it the other way around?
O Fortuna!: Don’t let a violation bother you, I get ‘em almost every day. lol

Snoring! What combo of store-bought anti-snoring things works for you? Help?

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

So I am on my 4th night of sleeping on the couch or in my kids’ room (they are at thier dad’s for part of the summer) because my boyfriend snores like a mad-man.
What combination of snoring things has worked for you? Sleeping elsewhere is not exactly working for me, as the couch is not too comfortable, and the kids room wont always be empty (Their dad has them for 2 weeks during summer months, and I have full custody when summer is over, except for every other weekend). So sleeping in thier room or the couch is not a permanent solution.
If you use earplugs, tell me what brand. (Mine, I seem to be albe to hear him THRU the earplugs! WTHELL). Is there snoring medicine he can take that has good results (what is it?), are there mouth pcs that they sell over the counter that work?????? (what and where).
He will not go to the dr for any reason whatso ever, so please dont suggest that……..
I need sleep…….fast.
Thanks.
